About US

Mendocino Barkery is the place to come if you only want the best for your favorite canine or feline friend or family member. We have the finest selection of high quality dog and cat products in all of Mendocino County.

Stephan Ouellette, Owner

Along with his partner Dennis, Stephan is the proud parent of Little Edie a 10-year-old Kelpie/McNab shepherd mix.  They had been regular customers at the Mendocino Barkery since making Mendocino County their home base in 2010.  When long-time owner Gerry Teasley decided to sell the store in May of 2015, Stephan jumped at the chance to carry on the job of meeting the nutrition, health and overall wellness needs of inland Mendocino’s much-loved canine and feline residents.

Stephan is proud to be part of the Ukiah downtown small business community and is committed to providing the highest quality dog and cat products at the best possible price.  The Barkery is always on the lookout for exciting new products and guarantee you and your pets will always find something new to love when you come into the store.

When not working their day jobs or in the store, Stephan and Dennis enjoy puttering in the garden or caring for their other animal family members: 2 goats, 4 hens and one very happy rooster at their home in Redwood Valley.

“Love the quirky and fun toys, especially the dragons. Plus the prices are fair, so I feel good and don’t go broke spoling my dog” – Josh B.

Cindi Winter, Manager

Cindi is a life-long resident of the Ukiah area with a passion for animals and an encyclopedic knowledge of the general care, health, nutrition, grooming and recreation needs of dogs and cats.  She can answer just about any question you may have about your pet and if we don’t already have the product you want or need, she gets it for you quickly.  When not serving our loyal customers during the week, Cindi can be found indulging in her other great passion – horse back riding.

From treats to shoes for their feats and everything else your pet could want or need.
